EPIC has developed over 30 applications supporting events, access and credentials, ball children scheduling to name a few.

Established over 100 years ago, this major international sports organization is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the recognized leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The sports organization is the largest tennis organization in the world, with 17 geographical sections, more than 700,000 individual members and 7,000 organizations, thousands of volunteers, and a professional staff dedicated with the single mission: to promote and develop the growth of tennis.

Challenge:

The sports organization has three major operating units, Professional Tennis, Community Tennis and Administration. Professional Tennis manages tournaments throughout the year including the US Open held in the late summer,  Community Tennis which has over 700,000 individual members and 7,000 organizational members and manages leagues with the goal of making Tennis accessible to everyone, and Administration with the responsibility of legal, internal system, HR, finance and facilities management all with unique needs and priorities.    

The sports organization requires a partnership with software development consultancy that is flexible to meet an ebb and flow in needs on an annual basis, local representation, and price competitive services delivery. Each year a change freeze takes place to assure stability for the US Open Championship.

Solution:

The sports organization chose EPIC Software Development to be their primary provider of software development.
